REPORTED QUESTIONS



Es una regla que se utiliza cuando reportamos algo o queremos repetir lo que alguien ha preguntado previamente. Al informar lo que la gente dice, solemos cambiar el tiempo de los verbos para mencionar lo que estamos reportando, esto se realiza con el fin de no mencionar de forma directa.





Cuando hay una palabra interrogativa se utilizan estas palabras que hacen mension de pregunta  what, where, why, who, when, how  pero no hay verbo auxiliar y el orden de las palabras es como una frase afirmativa.








Example:

“Who did you see?” 
Reported question: She asked me who I’d seen.

She asked where they could go that night
"When did they go to India?"
He asked when they had gone to India
"Who told you that?"
He asked me who had told me that
"How old are the twins?"
